Children & Youth in Foster Care (HB2775)

Adopting a "bill of rights" for children and youth in foster care is not a new idea.  Since the early 1970s, when the first rights of children in foster care were adopted by the National Foster Parent Association, many states have enacted legislation to provide legal protections for children in foster care.

HB 2775 would enhance protections and help ensure all youth are treated with respect and dignity while in the foster care system.

Subject: Support children & youth in foster care

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

HB 2775 would establish a "bill of rights" for children and youth in foster care. This is not a new idea. In fact, the National Foster Parent Association adopted the first rights for children in foster care in the early 1970s.

By adopting HB 2775, Arizona would be joining a growing list of states that have codified their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of children.

HB 2775 would enhance protections and help ensure that all youth are treated with respect and dignity while in the foster care system.

Please support HB 2775.

Sincerely,
