SB 1499 was defeated in the Arizona State Senate by a vote of 16-14.  However, the bill's sponsor, Pamela Gorman (R-6), voted against the bill as procedural maneuver to keep the bill alive.  By voting no on SB 1499, Senator Gorman can make a motion to reconsider the vote.
