Ingham County Commissioners to Decide Fate of Domestic Partner Benefits

Activists At Work! Results Of Your Efforts:

Jay Kaplan of the ACLU informed us that he received a voice mail message from Ingham County Attorney Peter Cohl, who attended the Ingham County Commissioner’s meeting on Thursday night.  He said that the majority of commissioners were interested in exploring alternative criteria to continue offering health insurance coverage for domestic partners!!   He said that they will not begin working on this until January 2008, but that they are receptive to looking into other ways to offer this coverage.
