Greetings,

We received tremendous news today! The Hate Crimes bill passed the US Senate and is headed to the President's desk. This is a tremendous victory for equality and dignity for all.

Meanwhile, with equality on the line in both Maine and Washington, the Marriage Equality movement is making headlines. Already Oregonians have come together to contribute well over $6200 to Maine and Washington.

How will these two campaigns affect us here in Oregon? Join fellow Oregonians and national leader Evan Wolfson to kick-start a new dialogue about marriage equality and learn how Oregon could lead the nation. Evan Wolfson is founder and Executive Director of Freedom to Marry and one of TIME's magazine's "100 most influential people in the world."

Wolfson will join Jeana Frazzini in launching the first phase of the Marriage Matters public education program—a long-term effort to begin the conversation between Oregonians about why marriage is important to all families, including gay and lesbian couples in committed long-term relationships.

Evan Wolfson will be traveling the state making appearances in Portland, Bend and Eugene. RSVP for an event in your area today!
