In times of economic crisis, it is even more important for all families to be protected. It is simply wrong to deny families access to healthcare, pensions and other protections because the sexual orientation of the couple who forms a family.

This legislative session, we will again be working to expand the rights and responsibilities associated with Washington State's domestic partnership registry. Please write a letter in support of DP rights to your elected officials, and take an extra moment to tell your personal reasons for supporting equal rights and responsibilities for all families.

Please remind legislators in your own words that, while we thank the legislature for enacting the domestic partnership registry and working to expand the rights available under the registry, you believe in marriage equality!
