Domestic Partnership Registration Day Letter to the Editor Campaign

Starting on July 23, 2007 same-sex Washingtonian couples will be able to register as domestic partners for the first time thanks to legislation passed and signed into law earlier this year.  While we applaud the work of the legislative leaders and all of the advocacy organizations working to achieve this victory - we will not rest until we have full marriage equality. 

We urge marriage equality supporters to use the beginning of domestic partnership registration as an opportunity to write letters to the editor, explaining the importance of marriage equality. Personal stories are the best way to educate the public about why only full marriage rights will meet the needs of same-sex couples and their children. Letters should be 250 words or less.
