This bill increases the protections available to couples who register under Washington State's domestic partnership law passed in 2007. The new legislation provides important rights and responsibilities that are needed to reduce the vulnerability our families face every day without these protections.
While only access to marriage will provide our families with the protections they need and the full dignity they deserve, this bill is an important measure to help reduce the harms our families face. I urge you to help protect our families by supporting this domestic partnership bill.
