The Maine No
on 1 Campaign has been working around the
clock to identify marriage equality supporters throughout
the state. Now, just three weeks before the
election, the campaign has its list of likely NO on 1 voters
who they need to turn out to the polls-- and it
just happens to be the number of votes needed to win!
And no matter where you
live, you can help! If
you've got a phone and a computer with an
internet connection, you can be a part of the
massive National Get Out The Early Vote
program. It only takes two hours of your time to make a
difference.
To win--and preserve
marriage equality--we must reach each of the voters on our
list. Please join equality supporters from
throughout the country and sign up for a Call for Equality
shift.
If you've never
made phone calls to voters before, don't worry, it's
easy. The campaign will give you a quick 20 minute
training before your shift, a script and all of the information
you will need. And on almost every call, you'll be talking to a
Maine voter who already supports marriage equality, reminding
them to vote.
Campaign staffers
and volunteers have been making these calls for
the last few days and have found that there are still
too many voters who haven't voted early -- or didn't
plan to vote until they were reminded about the urgency of their
one vote. Often, that extra nudge from a dedicated
supporter by phone is what motivates someone to vote.
That's where you come in.
Please, sign
up
today. You really can make a difference
and help preserve marriage equality in Maine.
Thank you.

P.S. Another way you can help is to make a donation to the No on 1 Campaign. As you know,
campaigns need money to win. Lots of money. No
on 1 must raise enough money to be able to continue
to respond quickly and effectively to the other side's
deceptive and dishonest ads. Your donation, of any amount, will
make a difference. Please do what you can to help.
Thank you.
