Let Congress Know You Care About ENDA

Congress Swore In on January 6! Let them know you care about ENDA!

On January 6, Members of Congress raised their right hands and swore to uphold the Constitution as they began the new legislative session.

Let’s make sure that one of the first things they hear about is the importance of an Employment Non-Discrimination Act that protects all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Subject: Please Support an Inclusive ENDA this year!

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

Please support an inclusive ENDA - the Employment NonDiscrimination Act that protects lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans from losing their jobs just because of their sexual orientation or their gender identity.

Federal law already bans job discrimination based on race, gender, religion, and other categories that are essential to a person's being. But employers in many states can still fire people because they are gay or transgender.

LGBT Americans deserve and need the ability to work -- just like every American. Please help by sponsoring and supporting an inclusive ENDA in 2009.
