Together - We Make Equality Happen Equality Texas and Houston GLBT Political Caucus Working Together
Equality Texas has worked hard to make sure that for the first time in decades, there has not been a single bill filed in this legislative session attacking Texans based on sexual orientation or gender identity and expression. For the first time, we have 17 pro-equality bills filed in the Texas legislature. Equality Texas is able to work for equality at the Capitol because we are supported by the work being done on the local front. Success in Austin is based on having elected officials who are receptive and responsive to pro-equality issues. Houston needs your help making sure these folks are elected to, and remain in, office. If you are going to be involved at the state level, it is essential for you to be involved at the local level. Equality Texas is committed to collaborative relationships with its partners across Texas and believes by working together, we will successfully advance our goals and objectives. Equality Texas, in collaboration with the Houston GLBT Political Caucus, is asking its members to join the Caucus in its effort to make equality happen in Houston.
