Help Annise Parker Become Mayor of Houston!

Equality Texas is asking you to volunteer your time to help elect Annise Parker as the mayor of Houston.

Don't live in Houston? Doesn't matter. Here's why you should get involved:

• Besides being the best candidate for the job, Annise would be the first openly lesbian mayor of any of the 25 largest cities in the United States. 
• Her election would demonstrate that sexual orientation does not matter to Texans when electing qualified public servants. 
• Annise Parker's election to office is a critical opportunity to advance equality in Houston and in Texas.

Annise is tied at the top of the Mayor's race despite being outspent 2 to 1 by a self-funded candidate.  Now, however, Annise needs all the help she can get!

Early voting has begun and we are in the final days.  If you have been on the sidelines, now is the time to act.  Even if you don't live in Houston you need to be part of this critically important effort.
