LOBBY DAY FOR CIVIL UNIONS
Join us Wednesday, April 29, 2009,
at the Illinois State Capitol
as we lobby for recognition of Civil Unions.
 
This FREE event is sponsored by Equality Illinois.
Buses depart from Halsted & Waveland on Chicago's north side at 7am,
A bus will also depart from the Euclid Avenue Church in Oak Park at 7am,
with a brief stop in Bolingbrook at 8am.
Buses arrive at the Springfield Performing Arts Building in Springfield by 11am.
Attendees arriving via alternate transportation should meet us there.
After lunch (11am-1pm),
Rep. Greg Harris and Rick Garcia
will lead a discussion on effective talking points,
followed by a demo on contacting & talking with your legislators at the Capitol.
From 1:00-3:30 p.m., we will lobby legislators at the Statehouse.
A reception and dinner will be held from
3:30-5:30pm at the Station House.
Buses depart Springfield at 5:30pm
