On May 6, 2009 Maine made history by being the first state to pass a marriage equality bill through both chambers and have it signed into law by our Governor. This victory was the result of thousands of people who came forward to support marriage for all Maine families. While we lost at the ballot box in November, it was through the hard work of thousands of volunteers and donors that set the stage for the future of marriage equality in Maine. We are encouraged, inspired and ready to finish the job. And we're counting on you to join us. Learn more about our work equality in Maine: 25 Years of Progress
