Hello, Equal Rights Fan!

We're just a hop, skip, and a jump away (that's eight days in laypersons' terms) from the 2009 Equality Conference & Gala. Momentum is building! I wonder...if we had an Advent-style calendar for this occasion, what would be behind its tiny door today? Perhaps it would be something about this year's conference workshops focused on making change happen in our communities, like:

  • "Change Begins at Home," which will bring together concerned citizens from around the state who gathered friends and neighbors to rally for equality when their local governments brought LGBT rights front and center.
  • "Your Issues are My Issues: Building Alliances Outside the LGBT Community," with religious leaders sharing their experiences working across boundaries to strengthen our movement, as well as others.
  • "Addressing Hate Crimes in Your Community," which will include an anti-violence professional, a community activist, and a police captain, all there to share their expertise on raising awareness of hate crimes with the goal of stopping them altogether.
  • And many more! See them all here.

So go ahead and register today!
