Contact the Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party Today
Last night a concerned straight ally contacted us. She was disturbed and saddened to see that Ohio's children & families are once again being used as part of a distorted attempt to sway voters.
In past years, our pro-equality voices have clearly not been loud enough; and that is why we must speak up again NOW.
|
We must act now and say 'enough is enough'. Typically, Equality Ohio does not speak for or against any political party but we must hold them accountable for their actions. Even though the Republican Speaker of the House shut down the attempt to ban LGBT Ohioans from adopting in 2006, the Ohio Republican Party clearly did not hear his message and is now at it again - and this time it is really ugly. |

The Ohio Republican Party suggests that being without a permanent family is better for a child than being raised by an LGBT person or couple. Ohio voters are more informed than that. Contact the Ohio Republican Party now to say that we will not stand by as our children and our families are used as political pawns again this year. It is dishonest. It is cruel. And it is desperate.
Take action now and then ask your friends and family members to do the same. Join with us in strongly declaring that ALL families help make Ohio strong, including families like yours and mine.

Subject: Stop Using Ohio's Children as a Desperate Political Ploy.
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
You should know better. Using Ohio's children and families as a desperate political ploy to sway voters is not acceptable - and it represents the type of negative campaigning that Ohio voters are tired of.
Stop using Ohio's innocent children as a backdrop to your distorted and dishonest campaign messages. Enough is enough.
Sincerely,
|
