HB 176: Express Your Disappointment with Your Legislator's NO vote

Your legislator voted NO on HB 176.  Contact him or her right now and tell them how you feel.  Remind your legislator that they should represent everyone in Ohio, and that includes people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

This message can only be sent to your own legislator.  This will not go to the whole group of NO votes.

Why it is important to do this now?

This was an historic vote, but it won't be the last.  Those opposed to our issues need to hear from us and hear how their NO vote impacts the lives of those they are sworn to represent.

Take action now and then ask your friends and family members to do the same. Express your disappointment that your legislator does not believe that Ohioans deserve a state where they can feel safe and at home in their jobs and their community.

Subject: I Am Disappointed with Your NO Vote on HB 176!

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

As your constituent, I want to express my deep disappointment with your NO vote on HB 176.

I believe that it is good public policy for the state of Ohio to pass an anti-discrimination law addressing sexual orientation and gender identity. I want you to know that you have constituents who face discrimination every day. I am deeply disappointed that you have voted NO on a bill that would have offered some security where they work, live and play.

Everyone should feel safe in the state we call home.

Sincerely,
