How can faith leaders help end hate and fear in Ohio?

This special event brings together faith leaders across Ohio to talk about their role in making sure lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Ohioans are treated with fairness and dignity in this state. Updates on state and national efforts will be provided by prominent leaders. We will talk about the moral response to inequality that hurts LGBT Ohioans and families, like hate crimes and job discrimination.

Special speakers (additions/ changes are possible):

  • Lynne Bowman, Executive Director, Equality Ohio Education Fund
  • Harry Knox, Human Rights Campaign Religion and Faith Program
  • Bishop Yvette Flunder, senior pastor of City of Refuge United Church of Christ in San Francisco, and presiding bishop of Refuge Ministries/Fellowship 2000

This event is free. Some travel travel assistance scholarships are available. Contact 614.224.0400 or contactus@equalityohio.org to find out more.
