Don’t miss the 2009 Spring Dinner!

The tenth annual Spring Dinner in Rochester is going to be a wonderful celebration of our work for LGBT equality and justice, and we want to make sure you are a part of it!  The event is on Saturday, May 16 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.  You can participate by purchasing tickets or sponsorships for the event, or by entering our online Spring Dinner raffle for a Cartier watch.

As the momentum of our movement builds in 2009, this year’s program is going to be especially exciting. New York’s junior U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will deliver the keynote address.  We are honoring Sally & Jamie Whitbeck, longtime supporters and allies of our community in Rochester and New York State, with our Community Service Award.  And our emcee will be the delightful Carson Kressley, host of Lifetime’s How to Look Good Naked.  The event will also feature a live auction, which you can preview online!

The contributions from the Spring Dinner go directly to our work in Western New York to help win equality and justice for LGBT New Yorkers and our families.  This past Tuesday, we sent over 300 people from Monroe County to our largest lobby day ever, with most attending on scholarships and through funds raised from the Spring Dinner.  We have now organized over 90 Rochester area clergy, lay leaders and congregations who regularly stand up for LGBT equality and justice through our Pride in the Pulpit program.  Finally, this year we lobbied to ensure that crucial funding was maintained in the state budget for four local groups - GAGV, AIDS Rochester, MOCHA Project and Rainbow Seniors - providing vital services to the community through our LGBT Health & Human Services Network.

Don’t miss out on this important event! Tickets are going fast and we anticipate a sold-out room!  With your support, we can work locally in Western New York to ensure New York State recognizes and protects all LGBT individuals and families. To purchase tickets or a sponsorship for the event, you can visit our website or call 212-627-0305.

To enter to win the Cartier Pasha Seatimer Men's Watch, courtesy of Mann's Jewelers, click here now!  Tickets are $100, and only 75 entries will be available, giving you a great chance of winning.  You do not need to be present to win.

Thank you for all you are doing to create a better New York for the LGBT community.  We look forward to seeing you on May 16!
