Dear
friends,
As New Yorkers across the state are calling on the
State Senate to act now and pass the marriage bill, I wanted to
alert you to a TV ad campaign that we are launching across
New York TODAY that shows how
real New
York families are hurt when same-sex
couples aren’t allowed to marry.

Click here to watch our powerful ad featuring
Barb and Don Crawford from Cicero, New
York. Barb and Don—like tens of
thousands of parents across the state—know firsthand the
pain of having a child who is denied access to the 1324 rights
and protections of marriage. The Crawfords feel heartbroken that
one of their daughters can get married to and protect the person
that she loves, but the other can’t. New Yorkers
need to see how our families are affected when same-sex couples
are denied the right to marry the people they love. We need your help to keep this critical ad
showing in homes across New York State.
With your generous donation, the Pride Agenda
can continue to show New Yorkers the moving stories of families
from all corners of New York who must live with
the knowledge that their lesbian and gay children are not
treated as equal citizens. But we can’t continue
to reach out to those who need to hear our message without
your
help. Please support our campaign and help
us finally win marriage equality in the Empire
State.
Loving, committed same-sex couples can’t and
shouldn’t have to wait any longer for the equality and
protections that only marriage provides.
Thank you for standing with us on the side of equality
and justice. Your donation will be critical in our fight for
marriage for same-sex couples. With your support, I know we can
win!
With hope,

Alan Van
Capelle
P.S.—We
have learned that forces that are opposed to marriage equality
have bought air time in order to broadcast their misinformation
campaigns. Your support is especially crucial so that we can
stay on air to defend against these misleading
messages!
