Dear friend,
On Monday, October 12th, the Greenbrier Valley Theatre in
Lewisburg will join with more than 100 theatres around the world
in a reading of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later,
an epilogue to the powerful play about the murder of Matthew
Shepard. The tickets are free - but reservations are required.
Call the box office today at 304-645-3838. There is a reception
at 6 p.m. sponsored by Fairness WV followed by a reading of the
show at 7:30.
Matthew Shepard should not have died on that fence in
Wyoming. Being gay should not be an invitation to harassment,
discrimination, and violence. We founded Fairness WV to change
the hearts of minds of West Virginians and to make the state a
better place for LGBT people. To do that, though, we need your
help.
Please consider
making a donation to Fairness WV
today.
We need your help to put the pressure on lawmakers in
Charleston and in Washington, D.C. to push for hate crimes
legislation, laws banning employment discrimination, and much
more. With your help, we can achieve our goals.
Please
considering donating to Fairness WV today. With your help,
we can honor Matthew Shepard's legacy and create a state that
treats all its citizens with fairness and
respect.
I hope to see you in Lewisburg on Monday, October 12th for
the Laramie Project.
Please join me at the reception before the show for
an open discussion on issues affecting the LGBT community
in WV. Your thoughts, ideas, participation, and donations are
all essentail parts of moving West Virginia forward as a state
that respects the value of all of her citizens.
Best,
Coy Flowers
