Community events include:
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20: Medical Cannibis Talk Story
    6:30 - 8 p.m. Hawaii State Capitol, Conference Room 329. The Medical Cannabis Working Group is asking for public input for the development of its report to the 2010 legislative session. Speakers are asked to limit their "talk story" to three minutes to ensure all voices are heard. FMI: (808) 224-3056.

  • Friday, Oct. 30: 80s Fright Night Featuring Tiffany
    8 p.m. Pipeline Cafe. 80s icon Tiffany will perform to benefit our Pride Festival Foundation. Also featuring performance by Manoa Valley Theater's Pete & Kelly and a 80s flashback costume contest. Tickets: 1.877.71.Grove or click here.

  • Saturday, October 31: Lambda Aloha/PFLAG Kauai Halloween Fundraiser
    7 p.m. Lydgate Park Big Pavilion (Nalu Road, Kaapa, Kauai). Costume contest, fun and dancing. $20. FMI: Noelle at (808) 634-0127.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 3: PFLAG Kauai Meeting

  • Saturday, Nov. 7: Mama Mia Sing Along
    6:30 p.m. Social Hour; 7:15 p.m.: Costume Contest; 7:30 p.m.: Sing Along. Iao Theatre (68 North Market Street, Wailuku). Both Sides Now presents a one-night-only sing along to benefit Maui Food Bank. Admission: $5 and a canned good. FMI: (808) 280-5151 or martyguerriero@aol.com.
