Welcome to the Indiana Equality Action Center

Indiana Equality is an organization -- but you are the movement. To achieve full equality for LGBT Hoosiers and their families, everyone who supports basic justice and equality must advocate in small and large ways whenever the opportunity arises. This section of our website is designed to allow people across Indiana to advocate for equality with lawmakers, with community groups, with the media, and with friends and family.

Help give Indiana Equality a unified, powerful voice for basic rights for all Hoosiers by joining the Indiana Equality Action Center. We'll contact you about legislation, asking you to send messages to your state legislators and other elected officials. It's wonderful to talk with a legislator at the Statehouse about a bill and know that he or she has heard from constituents back home. It really does make a difference!

Now more than ever, Indiana Equality needs people like you to work hard in your community to further the discussion on basic civil rights and to defeat the proposed state constitutional amendment that would ban civil unions and marriage for gay and lesbian couples as well as threaten any legal protections for unmarried couples.
