Dear Friend,
The
First Annual Gay & Lesbian Film Series starts this week at
Village 8 Theaters. Following the success of the KFA Kickoff
Gala last week, we're excited to get the film series rolling.
This week's features are "Shelter"
and "Vivere."
"Shelter" is an award-winning story of first love
from Jonah Markowitz. Zach has set aside his aspirations for a
career in art to take care of his family. An unexpected romance
with a surfing buddy one summer forces him to make important
decisions about his life. Find out more and get tickets.
German director Angela Maccarone's "Vivere" is a
story of three lost souls, their paths criss-crossing in
Rotterdam. A romantic drama about three women on the run, saving
each other, saving themselves. Find out more and get tickets.
Check out all the films scheduled for this month's film
series on the Village 8 website.
KFA is proud to partner with Village 8 and the Letter
newspaper to bring these films to Louisville. A big turnout this
year will mean an even bigger event in years to come!
See you at the movies,
Christina & Misty
Your KFA Team

The Ampersand symbolizes the solidarity we are
building through Friends & Family, and suggests the
inclusiveness we are working toward. It reflects the idea that
no one individual, legislator, organization, or city can carry
all the water for equality. Our success lies in our
solidarity.
