Dear Supporter,

2008 is an extremely important election year for our community.  From employment protections, to military service, to protecting our families, the options could not be more stark. Check out this side-by-side comparison of where the Republican and Democratic Parties formally stand on issues important to our community.

This year’s elections offer voters tremendous power to affect our future – at the federal, state and local levels. One of the most important responsibilities we each have is to actively participate in our democratic republic by voting.  Our vote is our voice! As a minority community, it is especially important that we maximize every opportunity available to make our voice count.

We need to hear your voice this November. Next Monday, October 6 is the last day to register to vote! Remember, if you have moved since you voted last you must register to vote again. Click here to verify you are registered, see a sample ballot and/or find out where you vote.

We can create change in Kentucky, but we must do so very intentionally. Our voice must ring through loud and clear. Power is never given. You have a voice, make it count!

In solidarity,

Your KFA Team

P.S. If you will be out of town on election day or are otherwise unable to make it to your polling station, request an absentee ballot.

P.P.S. Your continued support makes it possible for our community to impact this election. Please consider making a contribution so we can change the faces in the Legislature.

Ampersand. The Ampersand symbolizes the solidarity we are building through Friends & Family, and suggests the inclusiveness we are working toward. It reflects the idea that no one individual, legislator, organization, or city can carry all the water for equality. Our success lies in our solidarity.
