Dear Supporter,

Among minority groups, gay voters have some of the highest voter turnout rates. Census numbers confirm a 27% increase in the number of gay couples in Kentucky over five years, attributed primarily to an increased willingness to disclose.

With strong turnout rates and an increasing number of people identifying as GLBT, our vote will become increasingly relevent, especially in relation to other minority groups.

The Full and Inclusive Rights Political Action Committee, FAIRPAC, is a statewide, non-partisan effort affiliated with Kentucky Fairness Alliance, set up to target, focus and maximize the gay vote in Kentucky.

In this our first election cycle, we sent an issue questionnaire to 72 legislative candidates. Five candidates returned the questionnaire: 3 House candidates, 2 Senate candidates, 3 Democrats, 2 Republicans, 1 incumbent, 4 non-incumbents.

That's right, two Republicans! Evidence fairness is NOT a partisan issue!!

Given limited resources and strategy that prioritizes removal of anti-fairness incumbents, we are focusing on defeating Senator Jack Westwood of Northern Kentucky. Senator Westwood never misses an opportunity to sponsor an anti-fairness bill. Now's our chance to let him and the rest of the Kentucky legislature know what fair-minded Kentuckians think of fear-mongering, exploitive, anti-fairness legislators!

Ways you can participate:

  • Contribute to FAIRPAC
  • Contribute to Jack Westwood's opponent, Kathy Groob (be sure to designate that you are a "fair-minded" contributor)
  • Volunteer for Kathy Groob's campaign
  • Send this message to 5 friends

Kentucky candidates running for office should know, we do have a voice, and we will make it count!

Fairness first!
