Greetings,
Fair Housing for All is leading a charge urging President
Obama to issue an Executive Order banning sexual orientation and
gender identity discrimination in federally assisted
housing. There are
over four million units of federally assisted housing across our
country.
This Executive Order would be similar to what
President Kennedy did in 1962. At that time, his Executive Order 11063
prohibited discrimination in federally assisted housing on the
basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Later, Executive Orders
12259 and 12892 added sex, disability, and familial status.
Kentucky Fairness Alliances joins
Fair Housing for All urging President Obama to issue an
Executive Order extending the principle of equal opportunity in
federally assisted housing to the LGBT community.

It’s been 46
years since President Kennedy's action - it's time to act on
this.
In fairness, Your KFA Team!
