Creating a Family: Choices for Prospective LGBT Parents

Join the MEGA Family Project in a spectacular day of learning about the options and issues facing prospective LGBT parents. Learn about the different options available to you so you can make an informed decision about your journey to parenthood. Find out what issues prospective parents are facing. Learn about the social and legal considerations involved with parenting in Georgia.

This is truly one of our most amazing workshops as you will hear from both parents and professionals for a comprehensive day of learning about becoming a parent in Georgia. Topics covered: open adoption, donor insemination, the current state of international adoptions, foster parenting, adopting from the foster care system, and surrogacy.

You will hear from parents telling their personal journeys through the different methods available, and from a panel of professionals who will talk about the different options available to you from a professional stand point. You will hear about the very important legal issues you need to consider in deciding to become a parent, and get your questions answered by a fantastic adoption attorney.

Snacks, lunch, and drinks will be served during the workshop. If you cannot eat pizza, please e-mail Kathy@megafamilyproject.org to discuss alternative menu choices. This workshop is the best $15 you will spend! Feel free to make an extra donation to help support valuable programs such as these.

The MEGA Family Project provides support, education, and advocacy to Georgia's LGBT families and our children.
