Dear Supporters,
Can you help our friends in Maine preserve marriage
equality?
In eight days, Maine will vote on marriage equality for
same-sex couples.
The most recent poll on Question 1 showed that it is exactly
tied: 48-48. This is an off-year election, so major
candidates will not be on the ballot and turnout is expected to
be low. While we have identified thousands of supporters
of same-sex marriage, these last few days are critical to making
sure that those supporters actually get out to vote NO on
Question 1.
Maine doesn't have the capacity to make as many calls as
needed to make during the last 4 days of Get Out The Vote. They
are asking our supporters in Georgia to help make the calls.
Can you to commit to leading at least one phone bank for
the NO on 1 campaign in Maine to preserve marriage equality
sometime in those last four days?
Saturday, October 31st Sunday, November 1st Monday,
November 2nd Tuesday, November 3rd (Election Day)
If you are willing to help, please contact Matt at his
contact information below to let him know how you can help. He
will follow up with you immediately and let you know everything
you need to know so that we can preserve marriage in
Maine.
In just 8 days Maine could become the first state in the
country to win marriage equality at the ballot box, but only if
you help us in our final push.
As Maine goes, so goes the nation.
